Corporate Catering: Examining the Value and Ease of Using a Virtual Cafeteria Service

Think about your average workday: it’s probably packed with meetings, deadlines, conference calls, and more. Sometimes – let’s face it, all the time – it can seem like a major chore to figure out what to have for lunch. This can be due to a variety of reasons – maybe you’re tired of the choices in your area. Perhaps you’re too busy to even leave the office. And sometimes, you just can’t think of anything that sounds all that tasty.

For all of these reasons and more, we offer our virtual cafeteria service for busy offices like yours. Not only does this service allow everyone in the office to get a delicious meal, the food is delivered straight to your business – which saves everyone the time and hassle of running around town over the lunch hour. So how could our virtual cafeteria service help you increase productivity and give your staff access to healthier meal time options? Read on to find out.

How it works

First, your staff gets access to a Waiter.com website that is specific to your company. We feature up to three different live restaurant menus each day. To maximize participation, you can use our email service to remind your employees that they have the option of ordering lunch each day. Then, employees select what they would like to eat, placing orders from their own computers in less than 60 seconds! They’ll then receive an email confirmation of the food they chose. The food can be billed either to each individual or to the company, depending on how you set up your account – giving you the option to choose what fits your needs best. Finally, we deliver your company’s order to the location of your choice. Typically our clients set up a daily or weekly delivery option. We label everyone’s meals with their names, then send out an email notification to those who ordered letting them know that their food has arrived.

Why you’ll love it

This is a great program for any company – large or small – for a variety of reasons. Unlike a regular cafeteria service, we’re highly scalable. In fact, you can change the size of your order daily! Second, we’re affordable – and since meals can be billed to the employee or the company, it’s easy to manage the financial side of the service. Also, your employees are more productive when they eat a delicious, nutritious lunch. Having a delivery service is an innovative way to help your staff get great meals at their desks – which helps to prevent your employees either not eating lunch at all or only having access to processed foods out of a vending machine. By eating fresh, nutritious foods, your employees will have more energy and, potentially, be more efficient.

The bottom line

With how busy your employees are during the day, it can be hard for them to find a quick and easy lunch that’s also nutritious and fresh. Using a virtual cafeteria service to provide great, rotating options to your staff will keep them better engaged – and is a great perk for your company. Since the program is so easy to implement, you’ve found a way to keep your staff happily fed that’s smart and affordable. To learn more – or set up your account – visit Waiter.com today!

This seems like a great service to offer, however i do not believe this should become a requirement for employees. Many employees love to get out of the office for lunch and some may not want to register a payment method online. Otherwise, it’s an interesting service.

Certainly – but it’s a nice option for staff that doesn’t want to leave or has meetings over the lunch hour!

A virtual cafeteria service is a great way to get your lunch without wasting time away at work. This is a great idea for any company.

What a great idea, especially given how often I skip lunch because I don’t have time for it. And it would probably also result in more interaction among employees!
