Gumba’s. Frankly, we just like saying the name. It bursts out of your lips with the swagger of a verbal James Cagney. If you’re going to name a restaurant with so bold a name, you better have the food to back it up. It’s safe to say that Gumba’s does. Great Italian food at great prices makes Gumba’s more than just a name to remember- it makes a meal to never forget.

The pizza is their first calling card, made with fresh ingredients. You can build your own with a huge selection of incredible toppings, or order from one of the specialty pizzas, including the BBQ chicken, the healthy vegetarian, or the unique cross-cultural delight of the Louisiana Jambalaya Pizza, topped with cajun shrimp, smoked ham, Louisiana sausage, enoki mushrooms, sweet garlic, and special herbs. There are also dozens of calzones, from the standard and delicious sausage and cheese to the Thai Chicken Calzone, with grilled chicken, ginger slaw, fresh spinach, and peanut sauce.

That’s just getting started of course (actually, the huge selection of appetizers, from Italian standards to American classics, is what will get you started). A wide list of soups and salads will continue you rolling, and then you’ll hit the pasta. Spaghetti, ravioli, lasagna, and penne, with so many different sauces and fillings is sure to make your mouth water. From there, you have chicken, veal, and seafood dishes, in nearly endless combinations. To top off the tour, there are some selections for New Orleans, like the Blackened Filet or the Cajun Fettuccini Gumbo. We’re not sure the Italian word for “Bam!”, but we’re pretty sure we’d find it here (and are frankly pretty sure it’s “Bam!”, just with a different accent).

Gumba’s then reveals itself to be both Italian and Cajun, which makes the name Gumba’s even more unforgettable and perfect. And like the name, the menu keeps scrolling down, revealing hidden depths. It’s a gem, and in Mountain View and the Bay Area, it can come to your home or business. Waiter.com is ready to bring it to your door.
