"MyWaiter" Takes Orders at Waiter.Com

Waiter.Com rolls-out personal web pages for ordering your favorite meals

SAN JOSE, CA , Jan 30 / PRNewswire / ¾ Waiter.Com, the nation’s first service offering online ordering to restaurants, has unveiled it’s "MyWaiter" personalized web pages. Restaurant customers now using the Waiter.Com system are provided a customized web page with links to their favorite restaurants, a quick search of all restaurants in their city and a "hot list" of previously saved orders. Now its only a matter of seconds to place takeout and delivery orders via the web.

Once a profile with address and contact information is created, a user has two options for placing online food orders. The first method is to replay a previously saved order which generally takes between 15 and 30 seconds. Alternatively, a customer can create a new order by selecting their desired items from the online restaurant menu and customizing the order to their specification. Orders are sent immediately to the restaurant by FAX, providing a written record of the order.

"Saving time and eliminating hassle is what shopping on the web is all about," says Craig Cohen, President and co-Founder of Waiter.Com. "With the new MyWaiter release we’ve cut ordering times in half, while adding new functionality." Users have responded enthusiastically. "Having my own waiter page is very convenient, making access to important information much faster. And by bookmarking my page I never need to remember my password, it takes me directly to my profile account," says Lori Sevilla of Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA.

Started by two Stanford Business School alumni, Craig Cohen and Michael Adelberg, Waiter.Com brings a range of cuisine choices right to your desktop including Chinese, Pizza, Sandwiches, Indian, Seafood, Italian, California and Caribbean. To do this, the Waiter.Com service has teamed up with some of the most popular restaurants such as TOGO’S Eatery, Domino’s Pizza, The Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, Chili’s Grill & Bar, Round Table Pizza, Boston Market, California Pizza Kitchen, KFC, Subway, World Wrapps, Wolfgang Puck Cafes, Una Mas! and others to offer a free, interactive service that enables customers to order food directly from their computers.

Users value the convenience of having menus available online, the speed of not having to use the phone and repeat address and delivery information and the accuracy of having the orders sent in writing.
